DANCE AMONG THE VIPERS
Final Project at "Laboratoire de l'Etude du Mouvement", Ecole Jacques Lecoq 2014
Inspired from The Invention of Morel, by Adolfo Bioy Casares
This is a story about a refugee on an island which he considers desolate. But the island is actually inhabited by people with whom no communication seems to be possible. One of the places described contains a pool full of vipers. Our hero watches people dancing inside the pool, among the vipers.
This image is explored by several means (sketch, collage, model) to finally achieve a structure capable of influencing the space around it through movement.
