Competition organized by «Limeniko Tamio Chanion - Harbour Management Organization of Prefecture of Chania»
The solution proposed had to deal with the following problems:
- Upgrade of the current coastal image;
- Environmental upgrade of the vicinity;
- Replacement of driving roads by pedestrian and bicycle lanes along the coast;
- Space organization for public and private entertainment;
- Organization of the current shading system.
The proposition is structured by a curved line who defines two sectors without forming a barrier. A triangular frame organizes the possible expansion of areas of private use while squares, each one with a different function, are formed where there's enough space.
