This project is the experimental application of a synthetic method based on the analysis of dance for the design of a marketplace. By this method it is attempted to transform dance, i.e. movements well organized in space, into structural elements, which define and organize space.

The analysis of current marketplace needs generate the idea of a marketplace consisting of three basic parts: the main marketplace, spaces combining production and sale and a passage through the city. Based on this concept a dancer will “dance the marketplace”.

The analysis of the dance movements will generate the first spatial structure of the project.

The site is a 12m deep well, already dug for a project that never took place. It was decided to keep this well and highlight it.
